Am I Invited to Your Wedding?

What a rude question!? I don't even fathom how someone can ask that. If the answer is yes then great, but if not then you have just put this person in an awkward position. Today my sister emailed me because her friend wanted to know if she was invited. At least the friend didn't ask me directly but the answer was not unless she's your +1! This girl has been my sister's friend since grade school but we've never had a real conversation or hung out. What in the world made her think she was on my list? I'm not rich! I can't invite every person I have ever said hello to.
